Located on St Kilda’s Fitzroy Street, this cosy joint serves up home-style Irish dishes with a range of Irish whiskeys and craft beers on tap. Popular among Melbourne locals as well as the city's Irish expats looking for a home away from home. Live music five nights a week and all the sports action live keeps the punters coming back for more.

Freddie Wimpole’s

Freddie Wimpole’s occupies the ground floor of The George Hotel in St, Kilda. 

Freddie’s, as its now affectionally know, is a no frills, welcoming craft beer watering hole located in the heart or Fitzroy St. St Kilda.

Thirteen beers, both local and international, rotate through the taps. An extensive range of canned and bottled brews is also available. If you don’t fancy beer, there are 180 spirits to choose from.

The George Hotel was first established in 1873 by Frederick Wimpole. Wimpole became Mayor of St, Kilda ion 1886. An astute business ,man and avid beer lover, he became director of the Melbourne Co-operative Brewing Company based in Abbotsford in the late 1800s, which later became Carlton United Breweries.

The Bay Hotel is a place to discover the untold stories of Mornington’s rich heritage, relaxed beach-side main street and pub culture. Set in the former Commercial Bank building on the main street – fully restored to all its 1889 glory – this heritage building is a unique piece of history. This quintessential design draws inspiration specifically from 1900 Australian heritage, pub culture and the iconic beach-side town Mornington with a sprinkle of Irish pub charm!

Now serving up fantastic food and drink and live music into the early hours, its reputation as a local institution has well and trull be restored.
